There has always been an ongoing debate amongst cricket fans regarding the most influential player to ever grace the game of cricket. W.G. Grace, Don Bradman, Garfield Sobers, Clive Lloyd, and Sunil Gavaskar are just some of the players that made exceptional careers and left varied legacies.

The legendary records of Bradman still attract much attention while Sobers is renowned for his all-around excellence. Grace played a pivotal role in modernizing cricket while Lloyd was an exceptionally successful leader of the West Indies, while Gavaskar captivated millions with his fearlessness against excellent fast bowling.

The concept of the Godfather of Cricket does not have to refer only to statistics.
