Forza Horizon 6 finally brings full cross-save and cross-progression across all major platforms—Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. For the first time in the series, you can pick up your progress on a console, continue on PC, and never lose a car, achievement, or race milestone.



How Cross-Save Works

Synchronized Progress: Everything that matters—your player level, unlocked cars, credits, race history, and achievements—travels with you across platforms.

Platform Licensing: Cross-save moves your progress, not your game license. Steam and PS5 still require separate purchases. Xbox players benefit from Play Anywhere, letting one license cover Xbox consoles and the Windows Xbox app.

Handheld Support: PC handhelds like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally fully support cross-save. This means you can continue console progress while on the go without missing a beat.

Things to Keep in Mind

Paid DLC: Expansions and car packs are tied to the platform of purchase. If you bought DLC on Xbox, you’ll need to repurchase it for Steam or PS5 to access it there.

Release Timing: Steam and Xbox cross-save is available at launch on May 19, 2026. PS5 cross-save will arrive when that version releases later in 2026.
