Bringing back the four-class setup was the right call. Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon all have a clear job, and that makes squad play feel useful again instead of decorative. You notice it when an Engineer keeps armour alive at the right moment, or when a Support player drops ammo just before a push. It sounds simple, but it changes how people move through a match. The shooting itself has more weight than some players expected. Movement isn't floaty. You can't just fly across the map and win everything on reflex. You've got to pick your routes, use cover properly, and time your peeks. That slower edge won't be for everyone, but it gives firefights a bit more tension, and honestly, that suits Battlefield far better than trying to copy smaller arena shooters.







Where the cracks still show

That said, the game isn't free of problems. Some maps feel a little boxed in, like they want to be cinematic first and open-ended second. A few weapons clearly sit above the rest, which means the meta can get stale fast if you play a lot. Matchmaking has its rough nights too, and the menus aren't always as clean as they should be. You click around more than you need to. Veterans have noticed all of this, and they're not wrong. Still, the developers seem more responsive than before. Updates have already gone after hit registration, stability, and some balance issues. There's also a campaign, and it looks good enough, but it's not what'll keep most people around. Portal has a better shot at that, since custom matches bring back the weird, playful side of Battlefield that standard playlists can't always deliver.







Why people keep coming back

What keeps Battlefield 6 alive is the feeling that anything can happen in the next thirty seconds. You're pinned behind wreckage, smoke everywhere, a jet cuts overhead, your squadmate drops ammo, someone revives you, and somehow the whole push flips in your favour. Few shooters do that kind of large-scale panic and teamwork at the same time. It's rough in places, sure, but when the systems line up, it's hard to stop playing.
