Forza Horizon 6 introduces full cross-save for the first time, letting you carry your progress across PS5, Steam, and Xbox. Whether it’s your unlocked cars, player level, or race completion, everything can now sync seamlessly across platforms. Here’s how to get it working.



Step 1: Create or Sign In to a Microsoft Account



Cross-save in Forza Horizon 6 relies on a single Microsoft account as your central hub. If you don’t already have one, head to the Microsoft account website and sign up—it’s free. If you already have an account, make sure you remember the login details, as you’ll need them on all platforms.



Step 2: Link Your Platforms



When you first launch Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 or Steam, you’ll be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft account. This links your progress to the cloud. For Xbox and the Microsoft Store version on PC, the game automatically connects to your account. Once linked, all progress is stored on Forza’s servers, not locally, which keeps your save synchronized no matter where you play.



Step 3: Enjoy Server-Side Sync



After linking, the game automatically syncs your progress across all devices. Unlock a car on Xbox, and it’ll appear on your Steam or PS5 account. Complete a festival event on PS5, and your stats will update for Xbox too. The system works behind the scenes—no manual transfers needed.



Platform Specific Notes

Xbox & Microsoft Store (PC): These versions use Xbox Play Anywhere. Buy it once, and you own it on both platforms. Saves sync automatically.

Steam & PS5: Cross-save works here too, but you’ll need to purchase the game separately if you want to play on these platforms.

Handhelds: Devices like Steam Deck or ROG Ally fully support cross-save, letting you pick up your festival wherever you go.
