Even though the interface seems intuitive, I decided to take a serious approach and found a complete user manual in English. After all, devices like this always have hidden features or nuances in audio output settings that you would not figure out without the manual. While studying the manual, I came across a couple of points I would like to discuss with owners of this model or similar STR series units. First, there is the tuner setup. The English version of the manual describes the station presetting process in detail, but I can not figure out how to activate the automatic station naming feature, if it is even supported in this version.

Has anyone tried entering names manually? In the manual, the procedure seems a bit confusing, especially regarding switching characters using the buttons on the front panel. Second, I have a question about the Bass Boost mode. The manual states that it optimizes low frequencies for bookshelf speakers, but it is not entirely clear how it affects overall harmonic distortion at high volumes.

Does it still work properly? No issues at all with the volume levels? Then I will definitely buy it, because I came across it an hour ago on an online auction site, and at a reasonable price that works perfectly for me.
