So I’ve been staring at our packing corner for the last few weeks trying to figure out why we’re still taping boxes by hand like it’s 1995 while orders keep backing up every afternoon. We’re not a massive operation here in Ajman but we’re big enough that the constant manual work is starting to feel like a real drag on everything else. I was poking around looking for smart ideas for improving packaging and handling and came across some comparisons between different automation levels that actually broke down what makes sense for a mid-sized setup versus going all-in on robotics. Part of me wants to just bite the bullet and get something like an automatic case erector or a decent strapping machine, but I’m also nervous about dropping that kind of cash only to realize it doesn’t fit our space or our workflow.
