The Budecort Inhaler is a corticosteroid drug used to treat and prevent asthma symptoms as well as those of other long-term respiratory disorders such chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Budesonide, which it includes, helps to enhance breathing over time and avoid asthma attacks by decreasing airway inflammation. Budecort is used frequently as a maintenance medication rather than for instant symptom alleviation like rescue inhalers are. Asthma episodes are less frequent and less severe when taken regularly. It could take a few days for the results to show up, and even if you feel better, you should keep taking it. Common adverse effects could be hoarseness, coughing, or inflammation of the throat.
