How Do You Edit and Revise Your Script Effectively? (12 อ่าน)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for suggestions on how you edit and revise your script effectively. I enjoy script writing, but I often struggle during the editing stage. After finishing a first draft, I’m not always sure what to fix first. Sometimes I focus too much on small details like dialogue wording, and other times I worry that the story structure itself needs work.

I usually read my script from start to end, but I feel I may be missing better methods. Do you revise in multiple drafts, and if so, what does each draft focus on? For example, do you first check the story flow, then characters, and then dialogue? I’m also curious about how much feedback you take from others during script writing. Do you share early drafts, or wait until the script feels more polished?

Another challenge for me is knowing when to stop revising. I keep making small changes and sometimes feel stuck. How do you decide a script is ready?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your process, tools, or habits that help you edit with more clarity and confidence.
