<p data-start="320" data-end="548">I’ve been reading a lot about Ayurvedic nutrition lately, and something has me genuinely confused. Most of us grew up hearing that jaggery is a “healthier” sweetener — good for digestion, good for skin, better than sugar, etc.
<p data-start="550" data-end="883">But while going through different resources, including a post on the Does Jaggery Increase Weight or Aid in Weight Loss? , I found a completely different perspective. It said that jaggery can still contribute to <em data-start="740" data-end="747">kapha buildup and might not be ideal for people prone to weight gain or sluggish digestion. That honestly challenged a lot of my assumptions.
<p data-start="885" data-end="1095">I’m trying to reconcile these viewpoints. On one hand, jaggery is considered sattvic and nourishing. On the other hand, Ayurveda seems to emphasize dose, season, and prakriti more than the ingredient alone.
<p data-start="1097" data-end="1256">So now I’m wondering:<br data-start="1118" data-end="1121" /> Is jaggery actually supportive when used in the right context, or is it something kapha-dominant people should minimize altogether<strong data-start="1121" data-end="1256">?
